The Green Elder

Sees straight through, and can't bear to say so

You read a person's state off very little — a shifted tone, a changed posture, and you've caught it. That sensitivity makes you the person others confide in, and it keeps you permanently in the position of digesting other people's feelings. You have your own ordering of what matters; it stays out of sight until something touches it, and then you are harder than anyone. It isn't that you have no temper — you've processed most of the dissatisfaction privately, until the day you can't.

Where you move easily

What it tends to cost

At work

You need work that lines up with what you believe; doing things purely for a metric empties you fast. Open-plan seating and continuous social contact are a slow drain — the solitude you need to digest isn't idleness, it's recovery. Your best work is usually long-horizon and visibly reaches specific people.

In relationships

Few relationships, very deep. You want people you can talk to the bottom with; small talk is a tax. You tend to over-give and then wait for it to be noticed — it mostly isn't, and you won't say it plainly. That's the hole you fall into again and again. Speak while it's still a small feeling, not once it's become a decision.
