Cancer
Hard shell, soft inside
You sense the state of the people around you almost instinctively — you know first who isn't right, and you'll actually do something about it. You need somewhere you can put the guard down: home, a fixed few people, familiar habits. That isn't dependence, it's where your energy comes from. But there's a ledger inside the way you give: you quietly do a great deal and quietly keep count, and the day the return doesn't match you withdraw into the shell while the other person has no idea what happened.
Where you move easily
- The way you look after people is concrete — not fine words, actually getting it done.
- Your memory for feeling is excellent; you remember what someone mentioned in passing and keep it in mind.
- You defend your own without hesitation, and all that mildness turns hard on the spot.
What it tends to cost
- You expect the other person to 'be able to tell', but nobody is obliged to guess a need you never voiced.
- You substitute emotional withdrawal for talking, and you underestimate what those cold days do.
- You take old hurts out and replay them, keeping alive what should long since have passed.
If this is your Moon
Feelings run high and in cycles; the need for home and belonging is a hard requirement, not sentimentality.
If this is your Ascendant
People find you safe and easy to approach at first sight, and easily mistake that for having no edge.
