Lighting others, burning first

You give off heat: you'll get involved, you'll speak up for people, and you don't much expect a return. A room with you in it doesn't go cold. You hold to fairness almost instinctively and will actually say something when you see something unjust. But you give out far more than comes back, and often give what wasn't asked for. Past a certain point you go out all at once, and nobody around you is prepared — because you only ever let people see the lit side.

• You give without asking whether it was wanted, then feel wronged that it wasn't appreciated.
• You never say you're tired, until you've broken down and everyone finds out at once.
• You react to unfairness so fast that what burns is sometimes your own position.
